Question any ideas?

hi,right ive been having problems with my car running lumpy (3 cylinders) real bad on boost ect. mainly noticed it after i changed the plugs without gapping them so ive regaped to 0.686 when i was told to put them all back in and it ran even worse.
so ive pulled the coil packs off and had a look and there completely dead, cracked and falling apart so ive bought new ones fitted them and still it runs like a bag of spanners so if anyone can help me resolve this problem i would be very greatful its getting abit tedious .

im certain its spark related could one of the tips be damaged also my freind dropped one on the floor could this be the problem.

If the gap is too tight you will have idle/running issues. Plugs gaped out of the box are fine for starters.

Try the other plugs first then check the wiring and connections to the coil packs if you still have issues.

If its running on 3 cylinders as you say then find out which cylinder is failing to fire(pull a lead 1 at a time and see which does not change things)

As Slowboy says replace plugs with the old ones if you still have them and see what happens.

Hiya, Put your old plugs back in and try it. Plugs can be a real pain in the backside

what plugs are you using by the way.
i had this when i first got the scoob, only use min of ngk platinum at 0.7

also, if it still runs crap. check through each plug for being damp/wet. or very sooty
