how can i toughen up a newage wrx engine
got a 2004 wrx and im after strengthing the engine as im currently running 350bhp and need to keep it as reliable as possible, what option do i have as i dont want to do a engine swap as of the huge cost incurred with transplanting a sti engine. any suggestions guys and gals?

buy a second hand block that will drop in and replace /rebuild i as you go rod's pistons etc etc spread the cost of it ? or you could just change your rod's and pistons in your current engine .

Alan Jeffery can do a 2.1 stroker bottom end conversion to yours for around £2K, just add your ancillaries and job done + more torque, earlier spool-up and bullet proof to 500 bhp.

ive seen rod's and pistons for about 1k i thing they just drop in just account for the labour and a new cam belt whilst your there .
Good mate ,just the parrallel fuel rail to do , getting the power fc and exhaust this weekend and it should be running oh once i plumbed in the walbro lol so not to much , you want more power then ah mate .

sounds like u have been busy, not sure yet just fitted some rcm heat wrapped headers and they made quite a noticeable difference with the torque, going to get it on the rollers next month to see what its doing.
