Hi Chaps,

Brand new to scoobynet so hello all!!!

I bought a 95 wrx import in dec and love it to bits always wanted one and now that i have one im not disappointed, however if the car has been idling or driven off boost for a while and then boot it i get a puff of blue smoke when easing off also dunno if its connected but when on boost i get an initial kick and then a second boost is this normal? bearing in mind its done that since i bought it. Is the turbo on its way out? oil seals? sorry for the stupid questions but im here to learn.

I think a faulty turbo gives off White smoke rather than Blue.
Blue smoke can indicate worn valve stem oil seals.

blue smoke usalyy means oil white smoke is head gasket black smoke is fuel. i would think its the oil seals on your turbo mate sounds exaclty what happened to me with old car and it was turbo oil seals
