Avoid flexy jointed items, and two-bolt manifold to up-pipe version.

AFAIK most of them come out of the same factory, with different "names" on them.

I used Mark at Lateral Performance as he did the best "package" price at the time. He's a helpfull bloke if you need advice.

HTH

You could also try Harvey. Check out the dealers thread in the market place section here on Scoobynet for his details.

As mentioned you want the 3 bolt type and if you have the cash splash it on getting the up-pipe and headers ceramic coated . Tracktive Solutions and TSL do the slightly unequal length tubular headers with 3 bolt up-pipe ceramic coated for approx £830 but it is .

What have you got Dunx?

Tubular ones from Lateral are £489 inc VAT, and Harveys are £514 plus wrapping....

Just where did you get this price??? ABSOLUTE RUBBISH.

Ported O/E headers and matched up-pipe, purpose designed, stainless steel, slip jointed, new Subaru studs and DEI heat wrapped is £369. Overnight delivery is £12.50 or we will fit for you for £75 if required.
In performance terms, probably the best choice on all cars up to 420-430 bhp bracket.

I need to know the turbo and future power asirations at time of ordering.

I also sell GT Spec type as photographed above. Recommended for around 450 bhp and above. PRICE IS £350. Overnight delivery is £12.50 or we will fit for £75 fixed price. These can be DEI heat wrapped for £95 or I can supply a roll of wrap 50'x2" for £45 and enjoy wrapping yourself.

Everything in stock and ready to go today.

I also have a new tubular header set, small bore, £300 and another new header set and up-pipe £225 origin uncertain.

Very, very unhelpful when people post wrong prices.

from a PM you sent me:
You are at the point where the decision to fit ported OE or tubular is finely balanced. If you are going to be nearer to 450 than 400 then I would lean towards the tubular headers which cost £375 plus wrapping. If you are closer to 400 then I would go with the ported OE but your best choice can only be determined when you actually know what turbo you are going to fit. Also, I have a purpose designed uppipe for the three bolt flange tubular headers if you are actually going to be in the 400s but this adds a further £139 to the tubular headers cost.

This adds up to £514

Harvey has PM'd me, and explained things, as I mis-understood what he mean't about the up-pipe.
You do get an up-pipe with the Tubular Headers, and the £139 pipe is an additional one depending on the power your are running!

So apologise for the confusion on my part

Cheers Chris. To Clarify, the current price for the tubular header set inclusive of up-pipe supplied is £350.
As most peole realise the large diameter up-pipe slugs spool badly and does not produce maximum power on mid range turbos. To improve spool, response and power on these applications, I have produced a purpose designed three bolt up-pipe. DEI wrapped complete with studs etc £139.

I have a vested interest but even on a standard car you will get quite noticable gains from properly ported headers and purpose designed up-pipe.
The normal modding sequence is a performance exhaust, full decat turbo back followed by ported headers and up-pipe.
Loads of people fitting ported headers can confirm their findings. It also holds you in good stead for future mods.

I had Harveys ported OEM headers, matched up pipe and de cat downpipe fitted last month and it totally transformed my car
The difference is very noticeable in performance and the all round drivability is greatly improved.Highly reccommended

Thanks for that.

I cannot say you will get a particular torque or BHP gain or you will spool to 1 bar 'x' RPM earlier. Every installation is different.
You will notice a difference from the driving seat immediately and after doing the turbo back exhaust, this is the next progression that will hold you in very good stead for future mods all the way past 400 bhp.
Just to add, nobody that has fitted my headers and up-pipe set has ever come back to say they could not feel a worthwhile gain.
