Fogs are shi'ite on Impreza. They just have enough power to pick out the side of the road (as they're designed to)... in yellow lol.

Should have fitted 'driving lights' in their place, which light up the road ahead when on full beam - much more useful for 99% of the time.

I'm not sure what the fog bulbs are - I think the maybe the same as headlight at 55W . If that's correct, then I wouldn't put 100W in as they'll draw nearly twice the current and could run into problems with the Subaru's marginal lighting loom...

If your fogs end up too bright they'll be less effective in fog as the light will just bounce back at you. Fogs are rubbish in any other weather anyway as the low, wide beam pattern meant for illuminating the road edge and white lines either side doesn't usually extend any further than 5-8m or so, making them useless when you consider stopping distances at even 30mph are listed as 14m. Only pillocks use foglights in anything other than fog, heavy spray or heavy falling snow anyway. If however you were after driving lights to aid night driving on unlit roads then you bought the wrong lights as these have a much longer and narrower beam pattern through different reflector design.

corradoboy has summed it up perfectly.

And slipstream has given you great cost-effective - and not so, lol - driving light options.
