Which mods require no remaps?
Was bored today at work, and thinking of engine response/power type mods which don't require a remap afterwards......
All I could think of were lightweight pulley sets, and lightened fly-wheel.....
What else is there?

not a lot of engine mods is the answer tbh.
Even a induction kit requires a remap
As other people have said, interior out, spare wheel out, jack out, sound deafening material out, a/c out and the list goes on

Suspension mods don't require a remap, and can be much, MUCH more beneficial to performance.

I always say, do the suspension, then get driver tuition, if they need it after the tuition get the brakes sorted (but that's an indication the tuition wasn't too successful ) and then consider upping the power when everything else is up to spec, including the driver.

It's all about control at high speed. Give me 260 and a fantastic chassis over 360 and unbalanced any day. Too much boost and you'll be fighting it. A guy I knew with a 500bhp straightlining monster couldn't see my rear wing for dust on anything other than a straight road. He was fighting the car through every bend, and every undulation in the road threatened a break of traction that would either throw him off the road or spin the wheels, either wrecking the clutch, engine or gearbox. IMHO the perfect road use Scoob is something like a Litchfield Type 20. 320bhp and T20 suspension and handling kit, sublime.

NO 290 don't !
I got a re-map, then PF brake up-grade, then Whiteline bits, and as Dave (Corradoboy ) says power is nothing without control.
I've just been to Apex Performance in Bradford to collect my coilies....
My STI set-up just can't cope with the extra bhp any more, but it is seven years old now, so time for a make-over.

P.S. Dave always happy to see you, coat on or not
