been driving my sti ra and around the 5k mark it seems to back fire quite a lot...ive got a turbo back exhaust on it...nothing else..in most of the gears it sort of hesitates a little around the 5k rpm area and it backfires quite a bit...

just wondering what could be the issue? perhaps a lose coilpack or something?

check your plugs first had lots of bother with mine last year doing same kind of thing
