i think you can adjust the actuatar by a bolt to change the length of the rod, if you have the boost pipe from the actuator to the turbo, this is the only thing that will increase the boost, im not sure what way it has to go, but at a guess, make the rod shorter

What I think you mean is to bypass the boost control and to just run actuator pressure.

This is done by simply running a piece of vacuum pipe from the small nipple of the compressor housing direct to the actuator itself. Normally this is tee'd off to the boost controller with a small restrictor inside it this allowing the control solenoid to control boost.

By just running a simple pipe from the nipple to the actuator the actuator will open at circa 0.6 bar.

Thus you'l only be capable of running 0.6 bar no need to adjust the actuator

Hope that helps

If you've piped directly from the turbo pressure outlet to the wastegate, then you will only ever acheive actuator spring pressure. - Different actuators will have different cracking pressures.

What turbo and actuator are you using?

If you connect a mityvac directly to the actuator you can see exactly what pressure it cracks at.

If you are hitting spring pressure and then see the boost continue to rise with rpm, then that's a different issue

if your going to adjust the rod mate you have to make it longer, making it shorter will increase the boost, this is what most of the boys with rs's do when they are increasing boost, they cut a small amount of the thread off and shorten the rod thus giving higher boost.

If you're getting full boost, what sort of throttle and RPM are you using to run the engine in?

Your MD will probably have a stronger actuator than 0.6 Bar
