Default Wiper blade upgrade

I still have the oe wiper blade attachments, the ones with the big daft wind deflector on the drivers side and I could do with an upgrade.
If I buy some of the flat wiper blades, can I remove that awful wind deflector?

hi bob
i've just been outside to check on mine because i thought the wind deflector is on the main wiper arm and it is!!so in answer to your question NO.unless you buy a new arm without one on.

regards

Surely the deflector is just clipped on and can be removed Bosch do a range of retro-fit 'aero' blade wipers to fit most cars using original fittings. Be wary of the cheap ones sold on eBay, they have awful mountings and come loose, juddering like crazy.

SUBARU - Bosch - Aerotwin - RETRO-FIT - BOSCH Wiper Blades - Complete Range - Autobulbs Direct Ltd - Xenon bulbs, car bulbs, wiper blades, headlight, Osram, Ring, Philips

Bob you will miss that silly wind deflector when driving fast though - as the arm on mine has no delector as standard JDM V2 STI, causes issues on getting the screen clean above 80MPH on a windy day.

yes they have, but not as big as the oem,so they fit in snuggly and offers the extra downforce.
