The 2 plates over the piston pin holes were the culprits for the leak. Plus a self inflicted one, where a breather that Mit has fitted is actually breathing into the bell housing and not helping.......
The rear main seal was dry, so as we couldn't make it any better, we left it alone.
We resealed the plates with 3 bond and all is Ok now, no drama.
Mit is going to realign the breather himself.

Very!
The clutch's perfect now, and lighter than before too!. it's so nice be be able to use the power without the slipping. Im fitting the cfd pulley set i got from Dave along with re-locaing that breather

It's an exedy clutch that they replace the friction material on, allowing it to take more power.
It's only availabe from them. The flywheel's great, revs better, but no problem with the driveabiliy, same as standard really.

The APi performance Exedy clutch is created by us here, with help from APi Japan.
We use the STi spec diaphragm cover. A re-engineered friction disc with stronger grade material fitted and an STi rated release bearing.
It is not available from anywhere else [ despite what they try to tell you ] except us.
It comes in a white unmarked box and I can honestly say that with many hundreds sold, ' problems ' are limited to less than 5 in 5 years of use.
The APi light flywheel is also re-engineered here from a standard Subaru one. We weighed Mit's for a figure and it came in at 7.3 Kg's if I recall. As he says, there is no downside to the use and spool up is greatly improved.
We also adjust the clamp pressure of the flywheel to diaphragm, which is why almost all cars come up with a lighter feel to the pedal. In that case it is particularly lady-driver friendly, whereas some heavy duty clutches need a servo assisted leg to operate it.
We keep good stocks of 5 speed and 6 speed clutches and flywheels.
This is not a cheap factor type clutch, it is aimed at the uprated power cars.
We do offer a lower grade one for the 'on a tight budget ' customer too. It is also Exedy based and performs properly with no downside.
This is also APi Japan sourced and does not suffer from the current problems that other internet supplied ' Exedy ' clutches seem to have.
All APi clutches have a 12 months / 12000 miles warranty.

I am not up for telling them anything, at all, ever, either directly or by default.
Sorry, some things just have to stay confidential, it is what we all rely upon to stay ahead of the game in the trade.

We never had a chance to try the high clamp pressure version on Burnsie, as we upgraded him the AP Racing Ceremetallic paddle and he was getting a little ' anxious ' shall we say, with us. The high clamp deal was after we looked at his problem and came up with a solution that may benefit later customers, without going to the expense of the AP version.
No harm done though, he is still one of our best customers and best Scoobynet promoters.
Cheap is cheap: judders, high take up point, slip, low mileage before failure. You name it - they do it.

I'd rather not say how we do it, as it is the sort of thing that we develop in-house and it soon gets out on the grapevine and then all the internet crowd suddenly can do it too.
