Exclamation SUBARU HAS ENGINE KNOCKS AND OIL BLEW OUT!!!!

I WAS DRIVING MY SUBARU DOING AROUND 80-90 MPH, I SLOWED DOWN TO 40-50 MPH WHEN MY CAR LOST A BIT OF POWER, THE CAR WAS NOT ACCELERATING FULLY, I COME TO A SET OF TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND MY CAR CUT OFF, I PULLED TO THE SIDE AND NOTICED OIL WAS LEAKED EVERYWHERE ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE ENGINE MOSTLY AND A LOT BY THE INTERCOOLER. WHEN I START IT KNOW THE ENGINE GIVES OUT SMOKE FROM UNDERNEATH THE INTERCOOLER AND MAKES A KNOCKING NOISE. MY CAR IS A STANDARD IMPORT 97 STI VER 3.

if you have dumped all of your oil why did you restart it? unless you topped it up of course

also for the sake of the plod i assume the 80-90 mph was on your private driveway/track

sorry bud, that sounds like £££££, your gonna need a rebuild. What fuel you been running it on? Please dont say 95 ron stadard unleaded. a 97 sti import needs super unleaded at least. ideally v-power/99ron

MY99 UK TURBO started knockin its c**t in and turned out to be bottom end. I got a re-built STi bottom end and all the bits needed for £1000 and ma mate fitted it for free. He saved me plenty as I think it would have cost more like £2000

Without looking its hard to say, but is it a knocking or a tapping? Only if u have chucked all your oil out it could be tapping due to no oil, the oil everywhere could be a rocker gasket gone pop as it was being driven quickly?
It maybe a rod thru ur block but its easy to panic thats all im saying,
get it to a garage for them to have a look if ur not mechanically minded.
