bigger bonnet scoop question
hi all
Would fitting a taller bonnet scoop to my 98 classic over the original TMIC improve its efficency? Ive already got a small aluminum intercooler splitter fitted. Ive seen examples that are a direct swap and claim to reduce temps by between 5 and 10 degrees depending on who you believe.
Ive ordered an intercooler y pipe at the moment, every little helps...

That's the v.7 style one and looks just like the one you'll have already - except obviously taller. IMHO it looks brilliant, as it echoes the styling cues of the OEM one
Alternatively, if looks aren't so important to you, then you've got the v.8 option which is even taller... STi 8 Bonnet Scoop
P.S. BTW the painting service is excellent as it's free, and the quality is excellent (I had 22B style bonnet vents and a v.5/6 replica grille supplied and painted by them).
