Default Brake problem help.. urgent

hi there i am having problems with (i think) the brake..

When i have done a few miles (about 20) and the engine is hot, i get a burning smell near my tyres, and my car starts to vibrate... the more i drive the more it vibrates.. steering and pedals all vibrate at any speed over abt 30..

and also the car tends to stop faster when i leave it in neutral.... its like i am braking slightly...
and comes to a stop quicker than normal when i let it stop without braking

anyone had this problem/ can advise me plz??

thnaks

Warped discs in contact with the pads? Is handbrake totally off?

That may be because, being cold, metal is in a contracted state so the discs may just be clearing the pads. It doesn't take many brake applications to heat discs/pads up and the discs to expand!

Sounds like a caliper is sticking and binding against the brake disc. It will get worse as your drive it as the heat will increase the longer the disc is binding. Look for red coloured dust around the wheel.

as above i would agree.

depending on if you have sliding 2 pot calipers or not they stick on the sliders and give you that problem. problem is still there hot or cold just gets worse the hotter they get. had this problem with my 95 wrx.

if not the 2 pots and you have 4 pots then pistons need taken out and either cleaned inside or new seals etc bit of high temp brakes grease and put back together.

can also be the pads sticking where they slide in the caliper. clean grease pad edges which could be a quick and easy fix, saves stripping brakes. but good oppurtunity to change brake fluid.

problem is the longer you drive it the more chance you will **** your discs if not already.
