Any DIY Store.
Hammerite Smooth is your friend.
Have painted a few engines now and they have all been fine using this. No cracking or peeling.

Just to clarify guys, that was 'Hammerite Smooth Spray Can Paint' you used rather than the conventional paintbrush cans which they offer in 1 litre upwards?

Also how many spray cans did you guys use to do the complete job? i.e. Block, Heads, inlet manifold?

is it ok to paint the block, i heard issues with it cooling properly with paint on it, and in that case if you were to paint wouldnt white be better??
