Default API Record Clutch Changed Time!!

hey i just experieced the fastest n most friendliest service and advice from one of the most helpfull companies dealing with scooby and at the same time really good priced to.
API performance got me in bout 4ish from west london up to them about 90 off miles away from me, gt the car in and started change of clutch to a exedy racing clucth with lightened flywheel and less then a hour they had the job done fully, took it for a test and found sumthing wrong with my gearbox linkages from previous and sorted that out to all included and also this was in there own time after the garage was shut!!

David and the boys there thanks you for that and definatly wil be doing more with your selfs.i recommend them to poeple who love there scoobys and want honest opinions/advice.

cheers
p.s. still cant believe how fast they did it got to be a record!

Yeah, but I'd only be REALLY impressed if Dave kept you in the legendary bacon butties and hot cuppas, whilst you waited

Not all folks appreciate pork. AND in any case we do the bacon butties thing on Satur-daze.

However I was impressed that whilst the guys were doing the clutch in record time, they managed to sweep the floor with carefully inserted brooms

Thanks for your custom TKK - glad we could help.

thats one hell of a knowledge of a scoob, I used to be able to remove a cvh engine in 19 mins and have the replacement back in within the hour, down to doing the job time and time again.

It's true, I was there (Tkk, I'm the one with the black WRX 2.5 conversion).

It was an F1 style change, and there were two guys involved (ever tried bench pressing a gearbox?). They can really shift when 5pm starts approaching

TBH, they were MUCH later than 5pm trying to get my new engine's boost under control It seems I have enough for two engines but they stayed late to get it sorted enough for me to get home and try again another day...

Wink

When I had a depot in Dublin selling just replacement engines for Japanese cars, we had 2 ramps and 2 engine fitters.

Between them, they 'managed ' to do 3, sometimes 4, cars a week. Totally uneconomic. So we laid them off and closed the section.

The two guys then approached me and asked that if they set up on their own using a garage at one guys house - would we pass the work their way ?

Of course we would, as there was nothing wrong with their workmanship, just the amount of it.

When they set up they ' managed ' two engine fits PER DAY.

That tell you anything ?

My guys here are good but as NXG says they tend to get faster as close time comes. Human nature - I don't have a problem with that.

David

PS you got home then NXG?
