Default LAZY STARTER MOTOR!!

hi guys

have been told i have a lazy starter motor,could this be a problem and fail??
any ideas where to get a recon or new one from??

I have a lazy one too lol. Solenoid clicks away strongly but can take about 20+ turns of the key before the pinion engages the ring-gear and turns the engine. (I'm on borrowed time I reckon ).

I got a recon one off eBay some time ago (still got to fit it ), for about £80 delivered. I'll post up the bloke's ebay ID soon - he hasn't got any listed at the mo, so you could message him...

lazy starter motors are often caused by batteries that aren't the best or the brushes in the motor wear out. most motors you can replace very easily and your starter will be like new.

i would defo do it that way but mind you bolt off bolt on is an even easier solution

This is what I bought...

Starter motor to fit SUBARU IMPREZA TURBO. on eBay, also, Subaru, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 28-Oct-08 11:48:41 GMT)

(Price has gone up by £10 since I got mine).
