Default Green fluid on my drive!

Got home today just as my MY00 started overheating. On getting out there is green fluid dripping from the drivers side of the engine bay.

Has the radiator gone? How far can it be safely driven? Anyone got any ideas on repair cost?

Cheers,

Paul. (mechanical muppet)!

Right the green stuff is a goos sign shows there was plenty coolant in rad and engine.

Were is it coming from the water can you see a leak, has a pipe come off,ALso have you got an originall header tank these are useless if so it will be black plastic where u fill the wter into if its steel thats also a posative,If its the rad its not a big exspence..

Check all of the above and come back to me....

ps dont drive it any where no water in engine is not good cost of rad around £80-90 second hand 40-50

Cheers for that, difficult to tell whether it's a pipe, not sure where to look, can see it dripping from a few places underneath, but the car is wet so it's difficult to tell for certain.

Header tank appears to be steel, had a look underneath the car, all I can see is a big plastic tray, with the odd green drip coming off from the back of it. Looking down into the engine bay, I can't see any loose pipes.

To get a decent look at it, the plastic tray will have to come off.

I remember seeing some Yellow fluid around one of my alloys and I was certain there was a brake fluid leak until I got my fingers in it for a sniff and realised it was dog ****.lol

get to a garage and get em to presure test your rad,,,, just like what happens when driving the leak will happen more BUT a garage using a pump wont damage the and can add alot more presure ( safely) and find the leak,, **** easy tbh
