Sorry if this is a daft question.. will 225/40/18 tyres on 18 *7.5" Inovit Rotor wheels fit comfortably onto a 95 Subaru classic?? I'm sure the wheels are fine but less sure of the tyres?? cheers

Radius (from centre of hub to edge of tyre into arch) of OEM fitment 205/55 R15 tyres = 303mm. And for 225/40 R 18 = 319mm... So, an additional height of +16mm.

I have 215/45 R17s on my 1993 WRX which is a radius of 313mm - so +10mm over OEM, with absolutely NO rubbing/bottoming out.

So I'd say you're good to go (depending on the Inovites' offset, of course). For reference, my alloys' offset is ET47, so anything significantly less than that figure may give you arch clearance issues (unhelpfully, your alloys are also half an inch wider than mine too)...
