Opinions Please! Blitz Nur Spec R VS RCM Team ICE!
ok i need you opinions! ideally from those that have expereinced both exhausts.
3" turbo back Blitz Nur Spec R
Vs
3" Turbo back RCM Team Ice with silenced center section!
Which one is the better exhaust to have?
how loud is the team ice with a silenced center section?
which exhaust has the better scooby burble? both on idle and full chatter?
which one is quiet on idle then loud on boost? or neither?
performance wise which is better?
also weight wise which is lighter?
and finally with regards to drone at motorway speeds etc. do they drone?
let me know your opinions please!
i dont really want anything louder than the 3" turbo back blitz nur spc r just want to see if the team ice with silenced center section is just as good? as i can get that for cheaper lol but exhaust sound means a lot to em so dont want to cop out just for price!
cheers

lol i basically want something that sounds just like the blitz.. its just i can get the full rcm turbo back system for £230 thas with silenced center section..but i dont want it to be silly loud, i had the blitz before and was happy with it!
just hoping this will match it
what does everyone think? will rcm team ice with silenced center be bearable? and not get me in trouble lol

the team ice even with silenced centre section is louder than the blitz.
at idle the blitz is slightly louder but the team ice gets loud at 2500rpm and blows it away.
weight wise the team ice is just a pipe so weighs a lot less than the blitz.
what i did was buy the blitz then bought the team ice backbox and had it cut to fit the centre section.

crap lol anyone know of a bung that would fit the team ice backbox for when it needs to be quiet? as £240 for the full system is very cheap!
and i cant afford a blitz yet lol suppose a bung will quiet it down?
i dont want to deafen my rear passengers
how much does a bung reduce performance by? a few bhp? or 15bhp + ?

the blitz center section is pretty much the same as RCMs silenced center, correct?
also mate, which gives the better scooby burble?

for me noise wise you can't beat the team ice trully is spot on. if you like it very loud if you want to know what it's going to roughly sound like before you buy take the back box off yours as for most people it's too loud.
bung wise i don't think you'd get one to fit as it's slightly baffled on the exit of the team ice
hope that helps

i think am just going to go ahead with it, for £240 am just being silly ot let it pass.. worse comes to worse, ill sell it later and use the money towards a blitz, am sure i'll find a way to quiten it down, home made bung i think it'll be
but then again it may not be considered loud to me, as im known to like loud exhausts, its just my passenegrs that complain as they cant hear what the front 2 guys are talkin about lol

Hey mate,
I know it's not what you want to hear but.......I have the RCM TEAM ICE system on my car. But with a sports cat. I have a non res centre.
TBH on tick over on my car it's pretty quiet compared to someone starting up next to me with a full de-cat. But once I get of approx 2800rpm hell breaks loose. On the motorway holding at around 3000/3700rpm its really good and not OTT to be honest.
I think it depends on if your going for a decat full system or sports cat d/p etc. I know someone who has a full RCM team ice without cats........it sounds bonkers and in his own words he couldn't drive the car everyday.

Good man.
Let us know how you get on. RCM fabricating is very well made isn't it. Good welds etc.
Enjoy.

and regarding the quiet idle! thats perfect if thats the case as i can creep in and out of my street then and also when parked up at night letting the turbo timer run lol without waking the street up.

According to my home cinema Sound Level Meter's instructions, 105dB is equivalent to a low flying jet or thunder... 115dB is rock concert loud!
Don't forget that the dB scale is logarithmic, so an increase of, say, just 2dB is significantly louder, because the gain is exponential, not linear.
