Default P1 stock turbo expected bar pressure?

Hi, I have a stock turbo in my p1 with a defi gauge.

Q1. What should I expect it to boast to in bar pressure?
Q2. It has started to boast up too 1.6 then it softley drops to 1.0 then back up this cycle continues unroll you let off, thoughts to what this might be?
Q3. Is the issue in q2 going to cause a problem to the car if I drive it before it goes to the garage next Thursday?

Thanks guys

An update:

I have replaced the Blitz dump Valve with the stock DV that came with the car. It seems now that after going up to 1.6 bar it then drops to 1.0 then quickly up too 1.3 then stabilises at 1.0, Could it be due to the recent cold weather?

What is the normal behaviour of these car of turbos (I think its a VF28), is it common to over boast when you put your foot down and then stabilise?

Thanks, J

could be a leak in a pipe that is casuing the boost to jump around if you ahev fitted the valve recently check that it there are no loose clips or splits in the pipe work

not sure if that will fix it but not a bad place to start

Sorry the problem started before I switched DV's that was an attempt to stop the over boosting, but if it was the other way that would make a lot of sense.

Cheers, J

The P1's use a VF28, same as my Type R (as it was based on the Type R). Mine is stable at 1 bar (no overboost) on the standard re-circ and a Forge VTA that used to be fitted.

Boosts to 1.1 bar and tails off to 0.9 on a standard P1. At this time of year it could be a little higher.
