Default Pre turbo oxygen sensor

Does anyone know where i can get one of these without incurring the wallet destroying cost of the main dealer?
And would a universal sensor be any good?

I think the Bugeyestuart likely gives it away LOL

A Bugeye then LOL

If you want a cheap "front" 02 sensor that the ECU uses for closed loop fuelling then it's a search of the breakers as it's a pseudo wideband jobbie and the ECU does not like imitations

What makes you think you need a new one as they are pretty robust

Shaun

The ecu uses it for closed loop fueling.

Impreza Breakers in Norwich are very good got one of these off them last week £100 delivered , car now running fine , remember you will have to reset the ecu to clear the fault once you have fitted the new sensor .

Impreza Breakers 01508 558880

Subaru wanted £330 plus delivery !!!!!!!

Engine management light came on recently so i took it to my local subaru guy for a diagnostic.
The code that came up lead him to the front lambda.
He said this was probably because of me fitting a de-cat downpipe,he said he could get me a new sensor for the ball breaking cost of £349!!!
Would re fitting the old cat or a sports cat rectify the light problem???

The decat would bring up a CEL but it is not because of the front O2 sensor.

Easy to be switched of during a remap (which you would need anyway for decatting).

Where are you based?
