Default Throttle Bodies....

so much emphasis is put onto tuning all parts of the scooby, but i never see much relating to the throttle body.

Is this already a great part or can it be improved upon

Chris.

The OE throttle body is not a restriction for most if not all levels of Subaru applications, there have been some individual TB set ups devised but I’m not sure how well they have been tested or even progressed.

With that said a mild porting of the TB and better matching to the intercooler pipe work can help promote a smoother flow into the plenum but apart from that there is not much else I would do. There are other parts of the Subaru engine that pose much greater restrictions which need to be addressed first.
