Default fault diagnostics

one of my mates got a laptop for the fault diagnostics but its for 2001 up ive got a 1995 classic impreza can you get the right fittings to plug the scooby into it if so does any body no i could get them?

No your mate had OBD II for the classics you can have a look here Scoobypedia | Trusted knowledge for everything Subaru | Scoobypedia / Scoobypedia under the 'ECU' heading on how to manually check/reset ecu.
