Default Very loud 'blowing' noise when on full boost???

Hey guys, see if you can throw any light on this situation. Took me car out today for a good drive about since i was off work and the weather was nice, and i9t aint been out for 6 weeks!!

When the car hits full boost there is a very loud sucking or blowing noise in the cabin and i havent got a clue what it is???

It cannot be any seals or anything as it only happens on boost, doesnt happen when your doing the same speed off boost. The only thing i have done is replaced some of the smaller hoses in my engine bay for the ones that were on offer in the GB last few weeks, but have checked all them and cannot see why that would be causing this probelm?

Any ideas??? if you need to know any more to diagnose the problem, just ask and i will try and answer.

Thanks

Have you got a capilary boost gauge, maybe the hose has come off?

One with a tube, rather than an electronic one !

Is your dump valve sticking ? ( does the car go alright ?)

Yeah it seems to go ok but i havent really pushed it hard because
1/ the noise is so loud
2/ dont want to do any damage.

I have had some inspiration in my sleep last nyt lol. Think i might know what it is so will check and report back later on.

Cheers pal.

WELL......

I still havent had chance to check but i had a small offcut of blue hose when i was fitting the new hoses and these is a very small section running on the top of the Inlet manifold so thought i would chuck it there instead of the bin.

I remember thinking when i fitted it that it was a bit of a 'loose fit' but thought it would be ok as it looked just like a breather pipe so wont be under much pressure, however now i think about it, it is connected to the slim boost gauge piping therefore has probably blown off - OOPS!!

Will check tomorrow night now, bit pre occupied as my nxt door neighbour has reversed into the back of it on the drive today!!!!! NOT HAPPY, massive dent and crease in the bumperand most of the paint has come off the corner!!

Ah well **** happens.........and it just did!

Definatly sounds like boost leak.

Hope the car gets sorted (bumper and boost leak).
