Default missfiring under load, then clears

My car has just started missfiring, it only seems to do it when you give it full throttle, pottering about and up to three quarter throttle its fine.

If you keep it in 3rd then floor it after a couple of times of going right the way up the revs its clears itself and is fine.

Anyone heard of this before.

checked the coil packs?
Sometimes I have the same issue.
I reckon its down to fuel pressure in my case when im under half a tank.
Sure a few more experienced scoober will give their opinion

How does the automatic choke work and could that be related to it. Also were the lamba sensor, is there a way of checking that, cold start and coil packs.
Thanks.

Quick update.
Just nipped to the shops and on startup it was fine but half a mile down the road sat at lights it started to miss slightly. It pulled away but had to rev it more than usual, when under gently acceleration it was ok but if i tried to give it anymore than half throttle it missed again.
Anybody got any more ideas, its starting to get on my threpny bits

Default Misfiring

Hey all,
I just recently bought a new too me used to them 1995 jdm wrx sti,
Here in Barbados we dont really have the best gas from the pumps so we dont really feel the same power sorry to say as everywhere else in the world which suck but we gotta live with it...As i came across this post which is what ive been searching for and thankfully now found it ,I have been having the same problem with my car upon any heavy acceleration the car will start to pick up speed with full boost and all then when it wants and not at any exact certain point will completely bog down/loose all power this as you all can imgaine is 1 not comfortable 2 not really good for the car and me as it quite literally throws you forward into the seatbelts...i have the mechanic checking it now and too start we are flushing the whole injection/injector system and going from there.Any other ideas other than that we are going to start with the computer/mapping next if it doesnt clear up.
From rallying over the past 3 years the last time i saw this problem was with a smaller/less powerful car but all it needed was new plugs/wires one was broken, these are all fine on the subaru soo its now a detective game.

Thanks in advance for all help and insite.
