Question Engine light on

Hi people,

As says above, the engine light came on on my bugeye,
Had it put on the computer and taken off.
The light was on cause of the lamda sensor #2 in the middle of the exhaust. Cat gases exceeding threshold or somethin like that!!

I put a 3" stainless decatted system on from the turbo back but haven't changed the up pipe. But it took a good month or so for the light come on.

Now when i was first thinking of changing the exhaust i was reading up on here aout it chucking on the engine lights but everything i did read kept saying the light comes on when changing the up-pipe with the solution of putting the resistor in the lamda plug.

So has my light come on cause ive decatted or could it b that that lamda sensor could b on its way out. Its just loads of scoobys r running decatted but haven't got lights on.

Cheers for any advise.

Ade

light comes one when you fit a decat down pipe, you either need a mechanical cel fix or get the car remapped using ecu tek or something that way it will not come on again, the light is due to the sensor thinking the cat is not working properly
think it's the 3040 code or something..

No a sports cat is outside "normal" parameters the ecu is programmed to expect, mine threw a CEL every time I did a steady 75 mph down the M62.

Re-map sorted that and gained loads of power.
