Car has power loss when over taking
HI can anyone think of things to check i have a uk classic only some time when accelerateing hard coming in to boose looses power at about 5000 rpm for a sec. and then comes back on its done it a few times now but not all the time any help would be good Thanks

Model year, mods, last serviced etc?
It could be lots of things but without any knowledge of the above it is just guestimation (well as most things are without seeing them but atleast you can have a closer shot at getting it right )
Your best bet is to take the car to a garage or speciallist and get any error codes read.

Thanks yes its a uk 1998 full decat fitted for over 5 years and i changed the plugs 5000 miles ago changed the oil and filter 1500 miles ago checked the air filter and swapped it for another one i have standered filter will have a look at the things you have said to chjek is it easy to find the boost soleniod Thanks again

I had a similar problem on my MY2000 classic. It wasn't a complete engine cut, just a period of reduced power. After 2 sets of plugs and the usual service items, carefull cleaning of the MAF sensor with petrol and a soft brush cured it.

Boost or fuel cut. Can overboost in cold weather - feels like someone has slammed the brakes on or fuel cut if the fuel is low in the tank although that usually happens on bends
