Default CAI in the wheel arch

I bought my car with a CAI, and it goes off in to the wheel arch.

How do I get at it? Do I need to remove the wheel, then the wheel arch lining?

Just I dont think it will have been cleaned for a while so want to do it. I know you can get the K&N cleaning kits......do these do a good enough job?

Thanks

yes get the wheel off and then pull the liner back,if the filter is a k&n get it in a bucket of soapy warm water, after its cleaned it will need re-oiling to help stop the muck getting into it.

Yeah its a K&N. Really put it in water? I've just got one of those K&N cleaning kits, or aren't these really sufficient?

Cheers dude
