Default Simtek and Antilag

How long can you guys run your antilag for??

After about 20 seconds or so i have to turn if off otherwise the car runs like a bag of $hite..Is this right?

I did the whole Dartford tunnel on the tunnel run and had a little mis-fire but cleared the first time i booted it after

Depends if it is proper antilag or just bang bang!

If it was antilag, running it for 20 seconds wouldnt see your turbo last long!

Only used to run mine for 20-30sec bursts on my Evos, wasn,t fully blown WRC style anti-slag though, just more gimmick really, pops & bangs, that was via Autronic ecu..

I asked my mapper (simtek) if it could you it on track and he said a dozen or so laps shoudl be fine.

Why not as Simons mapping it and only takes an extra 5 mins to add

LOL @ Peanuts.

If it is proper anti-lag (which I doubt many, if any, run for road use), then unless you need that response when coming back on throttle and you don't mind your turbo being a serviceable item..... little point really.

As for the pseudo anti-lag "wannabee" fart maker..... even less point than above!

In the majority, it's a marketing tool, just as the old flamer kits used to be.... that was until everyone thought the flamer kit was a bit.... well, chav.

I run launch control with boost (1bar at launch), which obviously uses the proper antilag strategies. I winced every time I used it for launching on the strip this year..... I'm sure that may of helped my previous turbo to expire.

As far as i remember he said how long people run it for ....... not if its real or why have it !!!!!
