I mapped one on a 2.5. It made 380hp/432ftlb.
Useless for spoolup IMO, there are far better options out there - MD series etc.

they seem to vary lots.. seen 400 and also seen 380 with similar mods..

the exhaust housing seems to suffer with heat.. ie. it never spools exactly the same..

With the SR40 i struggled to make boost unless the car was on the move all the time, stop for lights and it seamed to have heating problems and wouldnt make boost for a while, boost dropped of pretty fast as well at about 6250rpm

Boost would drop from 1.7 when cold to 1.25 with it got to hot

Max power i got was 374 bhp 354 lbs/ft at 1.7 bar

Since changing to the MD321h it has been great and even after sitting in traffic still makes boost and holds on to the redline with no dips (7500rpm)

Makes 395 bhp with 373 lbs/ft at 1.5 bar... but makes 1.7 on the road

With some more mods on the entry side should be over 400bhp

Conclusion was if you drive on empty roads with no stops then the SR40 isnt to bad but you really need to put a high load on it to make boost

Md321h i cant fault at all so far

I'm running one. Making 380hp on 1.4 bar on 98ron fuel. V3 STI 2L engine.

Makes 1 bar boost by 3500rpm and 1.4 around 4000rpm.

Ive noticed boost sometimes doesnt build all the way to 1.4bar in the lower gears but I put that down to lower load and open loop boost control?

Have just upgraded my intercooler system and it feels even stronger, will be remapping shortly.

I really like it, but then Ive only got vfxx turbos to compare to on similar setups.

These are basically a gt2876 with a .72AR turbine housing from what ive been able to find out.

Blimey thats a lagfest. My Lateral MD321V (the biggest there is) makes 1.7 bar at 3000rpm

Optical - you really need to experience an MD321 to appreciate why they are so good

Duncan, isn't your 321V running on a 2.5 though? Out of interest what power does your V make on straight V Power and at what boost?
