GT3071 Turbo
Hi
Does anyone know anythinng about this turbo and how good it is say up against an MD series one. I know it is good for 450bhp but how does it spool and what kind of torque levels will it produce on a 2.ol with all supporting mods on a standard block?
Been looking everywhere for some info, but it is hard to find. found something from 2005 buth that is it.
thanks

No need to go rotated.
ATP GT3071R is a stock location bolt on "Garrett GT 3071R" and there are other stock location turbo's based on it. Blouch Dom 2,5 (Polka Pickle), AVO 450 etc. Obviously they are not real Garretts, they are hybrids, but I have read that the ATP3071R is supposed to be a good match for the 2.0L. Check nasioc for info.

Are there any people running these on scoobynet. 2.0l engine wise?
cheers

I would be interested to see how my 500bhp AET turbo compares against something like a MD321H, for lowdown performance (torque / power) on a 2.5ltr. Perhaps the results may be not what some may think.

When i first read this thread i did wonder if you meant the ATP Stock location turbo.
I have the ATP GT3076 on my 2.5, this is supposed to be a 500bhp turbo, but i think it is more realisticly a 450bhp turbo (i expected this when i ordered it as the quoted output seem to be very optimistic in the US )
So the smaller ATP GT3071 is probably more like a 400bhp turbo.
There probably not as good as the MD321 series but then they do work out quite a bit cheaper, i was looking for a used MD321T for my car but at the time none were available so went for the ATP which worked out at about £900 delivered.
The ATP turbos do seem quite popular in the US but i don't know of anyone else running one over here.
