Default up-pipe for a classic

Hi, i'm thinking of buying an up-pie for my classic sti, what would be the difference between them , like perrin for 200£ and stuff i've found on flebay for 60 quid, i don't wana pay just for the label on it, and t looks quite same, just a piece of metal thought... anyone had an experience with them?

The bore on those EBay uppipes is way too big, it will kill spoolup.

The Magnex uppipe at around £100 is well proven, there are 2 versions 1 with an EGT boss for MY01-05 WRX and one without for classics and non twin scroll MY01-on STIs.

Ok, in the advert it says, you can chose between 2" and 2.5" , so do you think 2" is still too big? tnx

Yep.

Magnex is ~1.75" (45mm) IIRC.

I believe Magnex are in receivership, but suppliers may still have stock.

Google "Magnex Uppipe Subaru" for some familiar suppliers

Hi, my situation: i have fited Japspeed manifold , which is leaking, couse normally u get up-pipe + headers, and that one was with up-pipe fited in it.

the leak is in the soft place where headers fits the up-pipe . So awere off these cheap sh***. That's my case. So i'm thinking to put standart header back and a up-pipe, cause original was broken...
