What was the pressure before ? So if you upped the pressure, is it drowning in fuel ?

When you set the fpr did you disconnect the vacuum beforehand? Normally the fpr would be set at 3bar with vac pipe off, then when reconnected, the pressure drops to about 2.6bar. If you set the prssure at 3.2 with vac connected, then that'll be the pressure at idle, and not 2.6 (or c. 2.8 in your case). Don't know if it would cause the idling/stalling probs though
