Exclamation PFC COMMANDER SENSOR/SWITCH ABBREVIATIONS ???

I have the 415-N001 Commander to monitor the v.1/2 EJ20G's sensors via, obviously the PFC (Commander user manual is in Jap gobbledygook, lol).

In the [Etc] > [Sensor/SW Check] menu you can monitor the various sensor voltages and see the on/off status of the various switches. Can anybody make out the abbreviations, though?

Sensors:

AF-1..... ?
THRO... ?
BST1.... ?
BST2.... ?
WTRT... water temp sensor?
02-1...... lambda sensor?
EXTM... ?
***........ ?

Switches:

IGN..... ignition switch?
STR.... starter switch
A/C..... air con switch?
PWS... power steering oil pressure switch?
IDL...... idle... what?
ACL.... ?
NTR.... ?
WRN.. ?
EXT.... ?
FPC... ?
ACR... ?
FA1... ?
FA2... ?
***..... ?

Can people confirm/rectify my own entries and/or fill in the blanks, lol.?

Cheers

Cool

That's bloody brilliant Mike, much appreciated! Just the job. Cheers

Are the two aux electric fans both radiator fan switches, then? If so, how come they have a switch each? Which one is which e.g is [FA1] the driver side fan; [FA2] the passenger side, or vice versa?

I'm still trying to work that one out. I've got a seperate fan controller so i'm not sure.

Question

No worries mate.

What would be the diff between [A/C] and [ACR] then? is it that [A/C] is the physical 'A/C' push-in switch on the heater control panel... and the [ACR] is the relay under the bonnet in the fuses & relays box?

One of the fans is for the AirCon system - At a guess, it's probably FAN2

Ah yes, that'd make sense, I suppose.

So the other aux fan (prob [FA1]) is for the thermostatic switch that is common to both rad fans, then?

Question

Just been out in car to test the various switches and each switch comes on and goes off as expected/tested.

It would appear that [FA1] is indeed the 2 rad fans' thermostatic switch, and that [FA2] is the heater fan for when the 'A/C' button is pressed in (and the fan is also on, obviously).

Also, [A/C] and [ACR] do come on at the same time when switching in the 'A/C' button, as we thought - so [A/C] for the switch; [ACR] for the relay .

The only thing that doesn't switch on as expected is 'accelerator switch', [ACL]. I was at idle and blipped the throttle - [IDL] went to clear circle but the [ACL] circle didn't go solid . Is it, therefore, for WOT only, and will only go solid when the accelerator hits the throttle stop?

Strange When i put the air con on [FA1] comes on. I dont have [FA2] activate at all, even when the rad fans run.

At idle both [IDL] and [ACL] are on solid, blip the throttle and they both go off. If i just rest my toe on the throttle i can get [ACL] to go off while it still idles. There must be a switch on the pedal somewhere.

Actually it's funny you should say that...

When I went to work this morning obviously there were no solids on either parameter, but then switched on A/C and, indeed, [FA1] came on! (rather than [FA2] previously). I can only assume that [FA1] and [FA2] aren't switch specific then?!?!

Oh right. Well my [ACL] light isn't solid at idle (or at ever for that matter). Is this okay? Or is it just a superficial switch under the throttle which, in my case, has stopped working and, therefore, nothing to worry about?

When it was idling and i made the [ACL] go on and off it didn't seem to alter anythng. Might be a like a back up or something to the throttle sensor[THRO].

Yep, there's a sensor right at the top of the loud pedal for [ACL].

Ahhh, my [ACL] DOES work!

But my [ACL] doesn't appear to come on when idling, like yours mike...

...From idling, when I ever so gently pressed on the throttle (as if you're trying not to crush an egg), then the [IDL] goes off as the [ACL] momentarily comes on... But as you apply just a tiny bit more gas, then [ACL] goes back off again.

Yeah, some of the things are different and some common, I think.

I have a photocopy of the manual somewhere, where it lists the abb. for each engine/Commander phase... But, from memory, it doesn't actually explain what they are.
