Petrol smell in cabin in my 98MY Std UK car
A couple of times over the weekend, when starting the car and with the fan set to cool and about level 2, i.e blowing air in, I noticed quite a strong smell of petrol. It didn't do it today from cold, first thing.
Car was rolling road tested on Thursday and the guys who did the test said it was running a little lean in the low range.
Any ideas what the problem could be? Have only had the car a fortnight, but Saturday was the first time I noticed this

ive had that a couple of time, but it always happend when i had crap fuel in, if i ever top up with bp if i get short, it just stinks, refill with tesco and the smell goes away
