Default Why Instal Parallel Fuel Rails? What Do They Do?

hi Guys,

I've just been offered some parallel fuel rails, but I've no idea why I would want them.

What do they do, and what are the benifits of installing them?

i think it is just a safty back up thing, so all injectors get the fuel at the same time, instead of the standard way, in that they get the fuel in a line

standard rails run in series and no3 is last in line, this gave rise to a number of failures on no3 pot.
parallel set up does away with this.

to do it properly with goodridge fittings etc costs a small fortune.

THe set I've been offered is just the rails, and thats £200.

Is that good? I've never looked into this mod before. But as I'm planning out a 400bhp conversation this would sem like a senseable precaution to take.

Probably better things to spend 200 on unless you've an unlimited budget? you can do the mod yourself with a few bits of fuel hose.

You can do it yourself for much less. Cost me less than £60,thats for 8mm braided fuel line, rail adaptor for adjustable fpr,and two 't' pieces, thats all you need. This will involve cutting you existing fuel rails. If you don't want to do this, then you'll need three more adaptors, about another £45.

API do rails only for around £100, billet ally ones from Flat4 are around £125, so is this a kit with all the bits ?

DunxC

P.S. It is a sensible mod for 400+, I did mine at a not inconsiderable cost. Hmmmm, red and blue anodising.....
