Headlights/Foglights
Hi all.
I was just wondering if it was possible or if anyone knows how to wire up the foglights to come on with my high beams on the headlights??
Anybody done this??

Would probably be an MOT or roadside VOSA fail too. What benefit are you expecting, as the average foglight beam pattern extends to around 10m, and the HC quotes 23m to stop from 30mph, so they may illuminate what you're about to hit anyway Another factor is that by illuminating the foreground your attention may be taken away from the distance, reducing your reaction time in the event of any incident. Leave them off, unless you're prepared to spend some more cash on getting proper long-range driving lights. IMHO

I went for PIAA driving lights to replace the foglights :

You get a relay to wire them into the main beam circuit. Great lights but at a price - worth it IMO

Yoe could wire the fogs to the main beam easy enough, but would need to up the fuse rating of the mains. Also, you'd need to find out if the existing wiring will take twice the current draw, otherwise things could get hot!

You want 'driving lights'. The only problem is that you have a pair of lamps with a fog pattern instead of long range driving pattern. Simply buy a pair of driving lamps and they usually come with the wiring kit you need. They are totally legal as long as the beam pattern is right.
