Default Oil temp and pressure gauges

I heard that rather than using a sandwich plate for the senders for these, the boxer engine has some free ports already built in and blanked off for this purpose ?

Has anyone got a pic of where they are at all ?

Its for a V4 STi engine.

temp goes into the blank above no3 pot using an adaptor from lemansautosport

Thats what i did.The sender's to large to fit under the alternator,so fitted an LMA adaptor, works a treat If you look at my profile pic,it's the round silver thing on the front of the inlet manifold.

Is there any reason why people dont use a sandwich plate ?, The only thing I can see is it might bring the oil filter too close to the ground ?
