Default SSQV Fitting problem

Hi,

Yesterday I tried replacing my Bailey dump valve for a HKS SSQV. I bought it second hand so it didn't have instructions and I've tried searchin some of the forums already and can't find help. When I swapped it over it ran ok for about half a mile although I was driving slowly through streets then when went to put the foot down a little there seemed to be no power at all . It then just got worse from there and I headed back to house and It started not idleing and stalling on me with no power to take off when I was close to house. I turned it off for a while then got it back home spluttering and quickly changed it back to the bailey BOV which thank god worked perfectly.

Had no experiance of dump valves before and I obviously did somethin totally stupid but what was it an how do I sort it? I thought it was far to easy a change over!

Is there any fitting guides someone could give me link to please?

Cheers in advance.

Are both your Bailey and HKS dv's both vent to atmoshere?
If so, the fitment should be the same surely so a fitting guide wouldn't help.
It sounds like there maybe a fault with the d/v but i'm no expert.

Hey,

Yes the HKS is vent to atmosphere and yes the hose is conected from the back of the dv tot the maifold. I'm goin to give it another try tomorrow. You have to take one end of to get the bolts that fix it to the IC that has spring in it, is there anything in there that can be adjusted?
