Question STi SP ECU

what is it off and what gains over the standard ECU? any help would be greatly appreciated

The car it's fitted to is a 2000 W reg UK turbo. Only mods are de-cat and FMIC otherwise standard

Yes that would be a Prodrive performance pack ecu, it basically was part of complete package to up the standard from 215bhp to 240bhp. As your friend has further modified his, I would consider getting a remap to get the maximum from his mods.

cheers for the reply

he's got some other bits ordered - uprated fuel pump, sard FPR (not sure on the exact details, I'll try and get the full spec next time I see him) and is hoping to get it set up in the near future. Is there somewhere you can recommend for the remap, ideally in the Yorkshire area? he's looking for around 280-300 bhp

Chy @ Pennine Subaru in hebden bridge can remap the car, on the standard td04 your mate may get to 280bhp but for anymore than that he will need to upgrade the turbo to something like a vf28 or vf35.

It should be 3bar with th vac hose disconnected and blocked to hold a steady idle.

Once set to 3bar then pop the vac hose back on, you will see the fuel pressure drop slightly but that is normal.
