Default 20G Vs MD195 What to go for?

What shall I go for?, it will be fitted to my Sti3 Type R, which is still running standard internals (very low mileage), 550cc injectors, Tublar Headers, Turbo Back exhaust, FMIC with custom pipework and reversed inlet manifold, Controlling the lot will be the good old power fc and AVCR, sadly wont be able to use any methanol as its a daily driver..Ive been looking at the AFP 18g, 20g and MD195 looking for similar spoolup to a vf23 but something that will give decent power across the rev range as well hold decent boost at the redline..comments please !

well i was looking into what turbo to run on my sti ra closed deck block and apparentley it is highley recomended to have forged internals with the md195 as it hits 1.3 bar at 3000 aholds it to the red line ! im personally going for the td05 20 for between 350-400 bhp whilst keeping my internals std .

ill eventualy go for a 2.1 fully forged short motor, just looking to get more power and torque with a £1k budget for the moment, if the MD195 is a engine killer can the boost not be kept low until i get the forged motor? Didnt Andy F run 440bhp in his sti3 RA with standard internals at one point that was with a 20g!

possible mate , ive heard of a uk turbo running over 400 on std internals but for how long..... i think its just down to individual engines and how long they last .if your going for the 2.1 forged route id get the md as it will be more suited to it i would have though.

This my turbo on a forged 2 litre and is very similar to the MD321T but until you upgrade the engine I would just stick with the 20G.

Maybe map in some methanol and nf octane booster to get a little more power from it.
