nm and ft/lbs are very different units of measurement for torque.

Yeah, but it's likely living on borrowed time, but we'll see what happens I had to upgrade the clutch though, as the standard one would get hot and bothered at the previous level (335lbft) and start slipping after some enthusiastic driving.

I don't know what kind of torque you'd get out of a 2.5 with a 20g, but it sounds like a PPG would be a worthwhile mod at that stage

Thanks for all your replies guys.

I'm in the process of modding my engine at the moment, I've done: decat uppipe, prodrive sports cat downpipe, RCM cat back, green panel filter, forge vta dump valve and a walbro fuel pump, just waiting for a Bob Rawle map, estimate to achieve somewhere 290 - 300bhp, now I've been offered a VF35 and STI injectors (not sure about CC's) which is extremely tempting, been told I could expect around 330bhp so I'm keen to find out about other peoples cars.

You may also have seen another thread I started where I mention about a mate of mine looking at an Astra VXR with 335bhp and 400torques (he reckons) so I cant let him beat me

If you can get a good deal on the pinks and the vf35 take them and get them fitted befor the map.

The vf35 is a cracking little turbo that spools as fast as anything out there and with the mods you have will see somewhere over the magic 300 bhp with a good slab of torque.
