WRX Wagon hunts only when cold ?

WRX Wagon hunts only when cold ?
Hi All, Can anybody help?
I have a 1996 Jap import WRX Wagon and it has low miles.
It has been running fine until a few weeks ago when it developed a fault.
When you start it up it runs fine you can go about 200 yards and all is well then you go through a small period where on acceleration it hunts a bit a bit like on an old car where you put the cold start choke in ?
After you have done a mile or so everything is fine again.
I have replaced the MAF at huge cost and put in new spark plugs and the coil packs are new.
Any thoughts?
