Default Breather query?

Just been on my first track day, it was the mlr meeting at Croft Circuit.
My ex-scoobyteknix classic, seemed to be well up to the job of showing some evo's up

The only problem I encountered was excessive oil consumption.
My car runs a early sti lump with a fmic & few other mods. It went well & has been mapped safely at 1bar & with its cr type ra box accellerates v.quickly.

After a few laps of non-stop hard driving it started to puff oil vapour out of the air-filter on gearchanges. The oil vapour seems to have been vented back into the inlet pipe through the recirc valve. Also the oil feed pipe where it joins the turbo housing was weeping slightly.

Could it be that the turbo is shagged or is it excessive breathing from the engine because of the hard driving. I run my car on millers 10w60 cfs & I had to top up a few times during the day prob used about 2L of oil.

Is there a breather system with a catch tank that I could use?

Sounds like you need a breather system with a decent return to sump setup. RCM sell a nice return to sump breather system.

Check em out
