Power gains from remap. Is 300bhp possible from....?
Hi, just wondering if it would be possible to get around 300bhp from a remap and a sport cat down pipe on my hawkeye 2.5 WRX which already has a 2nd decat pipe and an after burner back box and centre pipe and performance panel filter.
Also can you gain fuel economy from a remap aswell as power and who is the best mapper in the Suffolk area? I'm thinking Ecutek probably unless someone else has any recomendations.
Cheers

The wrx turbo runs out of puff from about 4000 on the 2.5. Pushing it further than it wants to go from there on is a pointless exercise.
Stick a VF43 on it and the STi top mount and it will make the figures you want.
Mappers around Suffolk - not a lot of choice really. You will need to travel to essex or northants.

From an otherwise standard WRX expect around 270bhp and 330ftlbs from a remap and as Paul has already stated a simple turbo/intercooler swap will see you comfortably on the right side of 300bhp

To add some real world data, 3rd gr acceleration times decrease by 0.4 seconds on all recorded splits......
40-60mph less 0.4 seconds post remap
50-70mph less 0.4 seconds post remap
