I just wondered if anyone could give me an estimation of how long it would take to remove an engine from a 93 wrx, strip it down and build onto a new block (block already built) and refit into the car again

original engine has big end failure

Depends how meticulous they are being, and how efficiently they work.

Anything from 1 day, to 2-3 days.

So it's remove engine, pull heads off, refit heads to new block, refit engine? A day's work I'd say. But that's not allowing for taking the heads apart to check them over before refitting.
