bottom end knocking
how do all
just after a bit of info my scoob developed a bottom end knock and im not shure what is best to do, ither to get an eng rebuild or to go for a replacment eng, my car is a 97 uk version. im thinking of buying a import wrx ej20 engine but not shure if i would be able to swap all my ancillerys over without major hasle, would i need to upgrade my injectors and ecu for this swap or can i just swap the lot no hasle (i wish) please help thanks

The blocks are generally the same and will pretty much swap from one car to another. I personally wouldn't risk buying an unknown lump though. I'd rebuild my own, which I am in fact doing on a thread over on projects. For the money that a random block from who-knows-where will cost you, you could be spending the same again in 6 months time if it goes again.
