bout to change the headers lamda in my wrx bug with a universal one. what colours are what on the original please so i can match up

having same trouble as taylor but on a 4 wire.
my new one has 2 white. black and grey.
guessing the whites are heater. black earth and grey live.
whats what on the car wires though so i can match up

On my 93wrx the signal wire on the cars wiring was White with a thin red stripe, and on the new lambda sensor the signal wire is the black wire. The white wires on the new lambda sensor are heater wires, if thats of any help to you.

 

on universal lambda 2 white are heater and can go either way,black is signal and grey earth

from memory i think the sig wire on car loom is white (blue on original lambda sensor)
on the plug the 2 contacts that are not gold plated are the heater wires,so hopefully you should be able to work it out.
if i am wrong i am sure i will be corrected

 

cheers lads for help. just checked existing lamda and the wires are 2x black white and blue.
so black are the heater
blue is signal
white is earth?

what happens if connected wrong? what or how can i tell?
