Quick battery change question

Question Quick battery change question

I changed my battery today and wondered if someone can put my mind at rest ! I had my car mapped by Andy F. will this now be affected and will i now have to get the car mapped again!!

No effect to the mapping, but the ECU will have to re-learn its fine adjustments if the battery was off for more than about 20 mins. In which case, you might also find that the power feels a little less than you had when you first drive it after the battery change, but will improve every time you drive it back to what it was. Takes a few days usually...

Cheers for that slimnotshady. Battery was only out for a matter of seconds before the new one was installed. The car seems unaffected but defaulted to the low boost setting. One quick button press and i was away!

Just a genuine question from someone who is only just learning the ways of modded motors dave.
