Default Urgent help needed! For front mount intercooler

Right guys and gals i have fitted an autobahn88 front mounted intercooler to my95 turbo 2000 and come across 2 problems so far, one there is no where for me to attach my baileys dump valve, also had to completely remove my washer bottle.

I need to know will the car run without the dump valve? And where is it ment to attach? also where can i get (if possible) a small washer bottle?

Assuming a classic?

There is a place to mount your dump valve, it's on the hard pipe to the throttle body. You need a silicon reducer to fit it though.

In the center-ish of this pic,

Should be no need to remove washer bottle either.

You need to cut the hard pipe just before the oil filler cap ( on the throttle body side. Then connect the two cut ends with some samco. This allows you enough movement on the pipes to clear the oil filler cap. As previously described you need to connect a suitable bump lave to the tee off just after the throttle body using a suitable peice of samco.

All the info you need should be here in a very good right up by Kips

This shows where my pipe was cut and joined to allow it fit. After the join on the underside of the pipe to the throttle body is the connection for fitting the dump valve as mentioned in the other post.

None of the pipes had any bits coming off them to attach the dump valve, Going to try getting a 'T' shape hose to fit it.

So it goes on the Throttle side?

Thanks for all the help guys

It should have a DV take off on the throttle body hard pipe. I've got the same FMIC on my car.

If you're going to get a T-piece, it's around 60mm pipework that you need. Internal diameter for silicon pipe needed is 60mm.

The only problem with cutting any of the pipework is that you will not have the rolled edge on the pipe for joining this may become an issue if you are running higher than normal boost pressures. There is the risk of the joining samco blowing off so you should keep any cutting to an absolute minimum and if possible roll the edges on any pipe work cut. This was the advice given to me by someone with a much bigger brain than me (Andy F).
